Mechanical Engineering

The study program of master's academic studies in Mechanical Engineering is accredited by the Certificate of Accreditation of the Commission for Accreditation and Quality Assurance No. 612-00-00293 / 6 // 2019-03 of 04.10.2019. years.

The study program lasts two years (120 ECTS), belongs to the field of technical and technological sciences and gives the academic title "Master of Mechanical Engineering".

Conditions for enrollment: The right to enroll has all students who have completed basic three-year academic studies at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Kragujevac or another faculty with a related study program, with at least 180 ECTS credits.

The conditions for enrollment in the study program and other most important elements of the study program and study regime are prescribed by the Statute and the Rulebook on the regime of basic and master studies of the Faculty of Engineering.

The study program of the master's academic studies in Mechanical Engineering envisages the taking of joint compulsory courses, as well as compulsory and elective courses within one of the eight modules:

  1. Mechanical constructions and mechanization
  2. Production machinery
  3. Motor vehicles and engines
  4. Energy and process engineering
  5. Applied mechanics and automatic control
  6. Industrial Engineering
  7. Informatics in Engineering and
  8. Road traffic

The realization of professional practice is also planned, as well as the preparation of a master's thesis.

The expected outcomes of knowledge, after completing the master's academic studies in Mechanical Engineering, are:

  • mastering the knowledge and skills in the field of mechanical engineering at the level of graduate academic studies prescribed by EU documents;
  • mastering methods and tools for analysis, synthesis, design and production: CAD, CAM, CAE, FEA, FMEA and other specialized computer tools and programs;
  • mastery of specific knowledge and skills acquired through laboratory work, study research work, project work and professional practice, which includes: knowledge of instrumentation, information technology, technical means and elements, important concepts of systems engineering and mechatronics (in terms of integration systems), production and maintenance, organization and other subject-specific areas;
  • mastery of acquired knowledge in the context ("knowledge as the ability to access information and its creative use");
  • mastering the broader context of perceiving engineering and research problems, which means taking into account economic, environmental, organizational and social relations.
